September Begins

Mike and I had a hard time getting up. We were too lazy and tired that Anton had to go up to our room to wake us up. We ended up arriving at the reg at around 9:30. The line was so long. Maybe around 200-250 people before we started falling in line. We finished at around 12. The schedule was supposed to be 830-1130 then 130-430. I guess they decided to finish everyone up. It was also helpful that they offered food for those who were still there at 1130. We met two Americans, Parker and Jacob. They were very interesting since they're studying the language (again) to fight the environmental issues in China. They're pretty good in Mandarin already. They could read magazines and converse naturally but I guess they wanted to learn more technical terms for their ultimate goal of saving the environment. We also met the other Filipinos studying for the sem. There was one who was born and raised in Germany to Filipino parents from Los Banos and Negros. We rested in the afternoon. Mike and I decided to bike nearby then headed to the nearest supermarket to buy a few stuff for our room. We ate dinner at the Korean Restaurant in Wanda area, the same place that looks like Metrowalk.

Here's our upcoming schedule.

Sept. 3 - diagnostic placement test
Sept. 7 - Opening ceremony
Sept. 8 - Start of classes (finally!)
Oct. 1-7 - Holidays (no classes)
